Kevin Eikenberry is the President of The Kevin Eikenberry Group, which he founded in 1993. After graduating from Purdue University, he began working for the Chevron Chemical Company in a sales role. He spent four years there in a variety of sales and marketing assignments - including being Training Coordinator for the Division in which he worked. After that, he worked for Chevron Corporation as a Training Consultant. During that time he was, among other things, responsible for training Chevron trainers worldwide.
He has trained people from six continents in a variety of subjects and designed learning events from one-time efforts to courses for long term use. His specialties include: consulting and the consulting process, building the client-consultant partnership, training trainers, presentation skills, developing personal and organizational creativity, and designing effective learning to meet the unique needs of an organization.
Participants consistently rate him one of the best, if not the best trainer they've ever worked with. He is dynamic, personable and prides himself on creating learning that is both effective and lasting, but also very fun and enjoyable for all involved.
Kevin has been an annual contributor to McGraw Hill Training and Development Sourcebooks for 1997 - 2002. He is also a contributor to Pfeiffer and Company's 20 Active Training Programs, Volume 2. He publishes two email-based publications besides Powerquotes Plus: Powerquotes, a daily publication, sent to more than 28,500 subscribers worldwide, featuring a quote along with questions to reflect on and Vantagepoints, a monthly email essay of learning from everyday events and activities, distributed to over 5,000 subscribers worldwide. He hosts an internet radio program, Magical Movies with Kevin Eikenberry, on the leading internet-radio site, VoiceAmerica.com. A former weekly contributing editor to the TechRepublic web site, his articles have been published in over 30 internet newsletters and featured on many web sites.
He is a frequent presenter to professional organizations, including both local and international ISPI International Society for Performance Improvement), ASTD (American Society of Training and Development) Conferences and the North American Simulation and Gaming Association (NASAGA). He also is often asked to do keynote sessions on learning, creativity, teamwork and achievement.
Kevin has served two terms as Chair of the NASAGA Board and as that organization's President. He is currently serving his second term on the Board of Directors of the Purdue Ag Alumni Association and is currently President-Elect of that group. He is a member of many other professional organizations, including, NSA (National Speaker's Association), ASTD, ISPI, IAF (International Association of Facilitators), and IAL (International Alliance for Learning). In 2002 he was named an Outstanding Alumnus of Purdue University. He has been recognized in the Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who Worldwide.
Kevin is a life long learner whose personal goals include helping as many people reach their life goals as possible. He believes in the power of the individual to achieve and make a meaningful life.
